1976年京都大学工学部精密工学科卒業、 1978年同修士課程修了、 1984年同博士後期課程研究指導認定退学、 1985年授 工学博士。

職歴

1978年–80年 日本電信電話公社勤務、 1984年 大阪府立大学工学部助手、 1988年 京都大学工学部助教授、 1997年 同工学研究科教授、 1998年 同情報学研究科教授 現在に至る。
